Most of 2013

Most of 2013 - MEME

Yes, it's that time of the year again. The time of doll-memes to roll up your year of dollism. I can remember in which order I did these last year, but this time I'll start with this Most of 2013 meme. Most views, favs and comments on Flickr, as well as amy personal favourites. True, there's still a few weeks left on this year to take photos, but I don't think any will top these :D Concidering the lack of inspiration, light, time and energy...

Most Views: School Girls (top left)
- Well, my Volksies tend to get the most views, and when there's two... ;) I assume it's because the Volks dolls have for groups dedicated for them -> more exposure etc. I don't really share them much outside flickr and my blog.

Most Favs: Morning Angel (top middle)
- Actually it was a tie between this and "In the same boat" pic of Hippu and Hani, but I chose this one out of the two since I love this so much. Both of the pictures have the theme of backgroud lighting though :D

Most Comments: Brighthaired (top right)
- Yuffie's controversial, I guess? No, it's just about sharing wig experiences. I love it when comments get conversational. Not that I don't mind the 'so cute!' comments, love them as well, just to know that you've enjoyed the photo, but it's also very nice to share experiences and feelings about the hobby. Even if it's just about wigs XD

And my Personal favs, because I couldn't pick just one...
It's really October (bottom left)
- Alex just looks so nice on the leaves, 'nuff said.

In Black and White (bottom middle)
- Nigel doesn't get enough love... ever. He is such a darling and I love this photo of him. Had it as my phone's screensaver for the longest time :D

Pink X-mas-13 Hippu (bottom right)
- And there wouldn't be no doll hobby for me without this little darling! And I just really like this particular type of editing that I've been practicing this whole year :3

  1. Such great shots for this year, quite an achievement :3 These are great pics, I love it how they differ from one another but you're style is still clearly recognizable.

  2. These are quite different from another, right? :D Didn't notice it until you mentioned it. I tend to do similar photos in phases: there can be many plain pretty portraits in sequence, then followed by a bunch of outdoor ones. And then there's the backlit phase, nevermind all the types of photoshopping I tend to do, sometimes very soft, then grunge... But I'm glad that you can still say that they are cohesive. I never thought that I have a specific style, but it's more important that other perceive it than me.
